Day 5: River of Stones

Listening to Madame Bovary on audio,

while driving through the back country,

I long for places whose names I can spell,

that I can pronounce–names like Sawmills,

Hudson, Granite Falls.I’ll bet that there

even the cows say, “Mieu.”
